01
Choose one main place as your starting point
For a palace visit, choose one palace with a nearby walk and meal. For an observation deck, plan how to get up and back down. Think of one main place, a short walk and a food backup as a group.
Examples include Gyeongbokgung with surrounding lanes, or Namsan with a city-centre dinner. These are itinerary ideas, not fixed travel times. Check distances on the map and place timed reservations first.

02
Check closure days, closing time and last entry
Gyeongbokgung normally closes on Tuesdays, but holiday adjustment rules apply. Check your actual date with the official palace authority. Hanbok-related admission benefits also require checking the venue, clothing criteria and event exceptions.
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Regular closure | Different palaces need not close on the same day. |
| Last entry | Admission may stop before closing time. |
| Open areas | General admission, gardens and special visits can have different rules. |
| Ticket inclusions | Transport, cable cars, decks and admission may be separate products. |
03
Plan photos and a nearby meal
Read photography rules and restrictions on tripods or selfie sticks. Avoid blocking walkways, and keep track of your belongings before taking photos.
Save a food alternative nearby. If your visit runs late, check restaurant breaks and last orders. Confirm the minimum order for your actual party; solo diners should check guest numbers and portions separately.

Turn the guide into a plan with Map and Save
A map pin identifies a place, not necessarily its entrance or reservation meeting point.
- Choose a place from our landmark list.
- Use Map to compare nearby food, accommodation and travel positions.
- Save places and organise them in Trip plan.
- Check official admission and closure notices for your visit date.
